Gaereaus

The Gaereaus is an Earth Archon confederation of three ancient city-states, two situated along the shores of the Heliotrope Sea, and one situated upriver from the Belevorn. Established in 745, the confederation forged a unified defense against raids and attacks carried out by those serving the interests of the Witch Horde and the Drugnod Dynasty (546 - 746).

The three major holds of Gaereaus maintain an expansive trade network spanning numerous regions. One such trade route, the Witch Climb, winds up Vuzara's Oven to the surface. Another ascends the Yeenoghus Spittoon into the lands of the Divine Empire and beyond. This latter trade route facilitates the transport of Tears of Achamâz and Aurorum to Phure-Zil, then up ramps and lifts to the surface. Conversely, foodstuffs and goods from the lands above travel down, joining the Gnemdos Trade Network where they may continue for thousands of miles before reaching their final destination.

The capital of Gaereaus rotates to a different city-state every three years. The nation's three ministers, each representing a distinct city, serve for a term of nine years.
