Arastel is a satyr with humanoid features resembling those of a Kriavfahliil. According to legend, he was a mortal elf created by Bruh Kreniik and one of the first mortals brought into existence on Kriav. When the Cube Collapse occurred, Arastel and numerous other Kriavfahliil were transformed into satyrs. At the time, Bruh Kreniik had already firmly established his belief that Higher Powers should not intervene in mortal affairs, so he allowed the changes that had befallen his creations to stand. While he did not alter them, it is said that he did bestow Arastel with a measure of divinity.
Arastel is believed to be the progenitor of Melora. While rumors suggest he has enchanted numerous mortals, Melora is the sole progeny he has imbued with divine lineage.
Arastel roams freely without restriction in the Tirion System. This is because The Balance wields little power in this Mortal System. They censure him on Bal-Kriav, preventing him from acquiring worshippers. Consequently, Arastel's following is limited to the Tirion worlds. Remarkably, Arastel possesses one more domain than the typical minor divine power. This anomaly is attributed to his existence in a system less balanced than other Mortal Systems.
