Founded in the early Titan Era, Lambaril was established by settlers hailing from Lúthil. The city initially took shape along the eastern banks of the mighty Dargirth river, gradually expanding to the opposite shore and into the surrounding hills. Characterized by a network of canals and stunning architecture, Lambaril boasts formidable flood walls that shield it from the devastation wrought by the Ice Cap Melt.
During the reign of the Aslauthroa Monarchy, Lambaril remained a persistent challenge to the monarchy. They championed the cause of liberating the people subjugated by their giant overlords. Twice captured by Aslauthroa, Lambaril was compelled to serve as a vassal state for eight years initially, and then for thirty-two years subsequently. In 1741 HE, Lambaril succeeded in winning their freedom through a civil war, and once again became an independent city-state. Thereafter, they dedicated themselves to the downfall of Aslauthroa, forging alliances with former adversaries such as the Âkhi and the undead masters of the Castle of Death, in the face of the greater threat to all.
Lambaril has always had a matriarchal government. Led by a long lineage of highly charismatic queens, the Thrandorian Queens, it is the most stable holding for hundreds of miles in all directions. This stability has long made it a place of banking and secure transport. With roads and strong security to the Sea Breach and then to the other ends of the continent, Lambaril has long been a major commerce center.
