The Frozen Titan

At the head of the Moredhel Valley lies a natural glacier known as the Fihrgrell Cap. At the heart of its frozen cavity lies a frigidity beyond the norm for the surrounding region. The source of this is The Frozen Titan. During the Abyssal Release (7777 DE - 8777 DE), this primordial dreadnought was vanquished by a demon army. This was the second force to confront it, the first having been frozen solid and shattered into bloody ice shards. After incapacitating the primordial being, the demons set about lobotomizing it. Like miners seeking ore, they achieved this by carving openings in the titan's solid ice head. This arduous process took weeks, rendering the Frozen Titan's mind akin to that of a vegetable - alive, yet devoid of awareness. This was the best the demons could achieve against their formidable foe, though the effort of breaching its defenses claimed the lives of hundreds of the so-called demon brain miners.

In the Demon Spawn War ( 89 GE - 269 GE ) , a power source was required to cap one of the rifts on Bal-Kriav. Forgotten and abandoned by the demons, Thyrm sought out The Frozen Titan to accomplish this task. The means by which he transported the enormous primordial to Bal-Kriav have never been revealed. Once in the vicinity of what became known as the Fihrgrell Cap, Thyrm positioned the body of The Frozen Titan over the Moredhel-Fihrgrell Rift. This action effectively sealed the rift, as the seawater was frozen as it passed along The Frozen Titan's form.
