demons VS primordials

The Abyssal Release war arose from primordial machinations during the Creation War (1486 DE - 8777 DE). Over the final millennium of that epic conflict, demons began assailing the primordials and their minions. They fought to shatter the primordial hold and influence on the region then known as Piranoth's Steps.

When the Creation War concluded, the primordials surrendered their hold on Piranoth's Steps, leaving the domain to the chaotic and thoroughly corrupted creations - the demons. Some assert that the relinquishment of the Abyss was intentional, a final, grand act of primordial retribution against the Nawirrûs Covenant and the Creation they championed. However, a monolith on the Step of Foundation suggests an alternative narrative, indicating that primordial power was diminished by defeats in the Creation War, compelling them to surrender numerous dominions.

The equilibrium of might is stabilizing across the multiverse, unlike anything previously experienced. The dominion of disorder has diminished, and the authority of law has strengthened. Piranoth declares he will unleash a torrent of malevolence upon the deities and their mortal realms, yet the verity lies in the waning of the energy of Chaos; his mental fortitude has been considerably reduced, such that he will no longer be able to contain Piranoth's Steps. When this transpires, hordes of fiends will run rampant with reckless abandon, becoming a scourge to all.

The Abyssal Release culminated with the Creation War. The newfound liberty of the demons and their satraps swiftly precipitated a territorial struggle among the powerful. They also leveraged primordial technology, both natural and magical, to open Rifts between the Abyss and the Quara'tun system, initiating the Demon Spawn War.

Many cults that revere Chaos blame Piranoth for the primordial defeat in this war. They assert that his creative works, building the realms of Piranoth's Steps, precipitated the rise of the demons and the primordial defeat in both the Creation War and the Abyssal Release.
