The Fihrgrell Drain was created during the Demon Spawn War by engineers serving under Covenant general Abbathor. By detonating a null mine, they tore a hole in the Web of Magic, forming a rift between Bal-Kriav's Ratanur Trap and the Abyssal realm Kurun'Ush. This perilous operation, certain to draw weave spiders, was undertaken to counteract the effects of the Moredhel-Fihrgrell Rift. When the Fihrgrell Drain opened, it siphoned the seawater gushing from the Moredhel-Fihrgrell Rift, returning it to its source.
On the ninth day of Bloom in the year 254 of the God Era, the Fihrgrell Drain was securely sealed by weave spiders.
