The Ungorth Reddik Road is an inter-system rift linking the mortal world Bal-Kriav with the demon world Abyssm. The portal is situated on the isle of Turgon in Bal-Kriav. The rift was accidentally opened during the Phael-Tetramord War by Phael conjurers, leading to the downfall of Turgon. Overrun by demons, the isle became a new territory for the abyssal lord Demogorgon, his first foothold on Bal-Kriav since the Demon Spawn War.
The rift derives its name from the former Abyssm stronghold of Ungorth Reddik. Presently a city, this demonic citadel lies merely thirty miles from the rift's aperture. On the Bal-Kriav side, the rift measures 1000 feet wide and 50 feet tall, situated along the southern perimeter of Coremeen's foul waters.
The rift's emergence compelled the Phael alliance to abandon Turgon. Following the Turgon Exodus (13 - 25), the island fell under the dominion of Demogorgon and his abyssal legions.
