The great illithid armada has been lost in the Deep Mist. Some may refer to this fleet as the Lost Tentacle Fleet, but the fleet's official designation is the Revered Minds.
The Revered Minds is an armada of voidships constructed by the Suelk. This formidable fleet initially consisted of nearly 100 voidships when first deployed during the Horgon Era. In the First Suelk Invasion (135 HE - 150 HE), the illithids utilized this grand fleet to launch an assault against the githyanki and githzerai inhabitants of Ghífthauk.
In the Second Suellk Invasion (430 HE - 537 HE), the Horgon civilization was devastated and compelled to flee their homeworld. Some of the Horgon populace escaped Osâchar via the Helas Vessels. In 538 HE, the Revered Minds pursued them into the Deep Mist and were never heard from again.
Revered Minds is reported to possess 10 dreadnoughts and over 90 squid ships. Many of these vessels are connected to an expansive installation. They were transporting this structure through the Void when they were lost in the nebulae. This void station is named Cellicum. It contained the supplies, provisions, water, armaments, and several thousand captives intended to sustain them on their venture into uncharted regions.
The Suelk have searched for this elusive fleet for centuries. The other void-faring races of Asteraoth and Quara'tun have also dispatched exploration vessels into the Deep Mist in pursuit of this much-coveted fleet. Regrettably, most ships that venture into the Deep Mist become lost or perhaps destroyed by some unknown, ominous force. The Deep Six claim that the deity Ptah resides within the Deep Mist, and he annihilates any trespassers, yet leaves the voidships intact as decorations, akin to statues.
