In the southern reaches of the Ungarmuk Peaks, Valangrim
stands astride the Umgaril River as it emerges from the
subterranean realm. Constructed to thwart raids from the dark
regions beyond, Valangrim, after establishing security in the
area, became a vital trade hub linking the surface and the
realms below. These trade routes originate in the caverns of
Sidari-Nyx, passing down through the gears and canals of the
Akalgas Wheel.
Fortified by a succession of conflicts with the Khazarkar
Empire, Valangrim stands as an imposing bulwark. During the
Second Ugradrath War (1517 - 1523), though sacked, Valangrim
persisted as a stronghold of the Khazarkar until the war's
conclusion.
