Founded in 371 HE, Vynnendar originated as a salt mine. Situated far from its administrative center in Mulun-Dûna, and occasionally isolated for years due to regional disputes, the mine gradually evolved into a self-governing town by 501 HE.
The Vynnendar region reluctantly accepted the status of a vassal state under the dominion of the Glangveif Monarchy in the year 700 HE, yielding to the overwhelming military might of the monarchy. This subservient arrangement persisted for centuries, spanning the period from 700 HE to 31.
The majority of Vynnendar's Turkûn population are descendants of the Gimhak. Reportedly, a substance known as The Keeper was developed to suppress Gimhak radicals intent on disrupting Vynnendar's precarious alliance with the Orchish Empire.
Vynnendar is a prolific exporter of a distinctively flavored salt, precious metals, marble, and other premium building stones. The city-state is regarded as the region's most tranquil and stable political entity.
