On the 20th of Kindle in the year 314 HE, with
Hrornskar
as
its capital, the kingdom of Glangveif was established. A Titan Empire of the
Horgon Era, it was governed by the frost giants.
By force, Glangveif came to govern a vast territory stretching from the central reaches of the
Giant Steps, and eastward into the peaks of
Ugradrath. For the majority of its history, the nation was
ruled by a Jarl, a monarch supported by sects adhering to the caprices of
Thyrm. One title for the first Jarl was First to Thyrm, with each
successive ruler adopting the next numerical designation; all the way up to the final Glangveif ruler,
Jarl Gratlod, Fifty-Sixth to Thyrm.
In the
Year 31, the city of Glangveif fell to the
ferocious armies of
Hofthorm. However, Glangveif's people did not vanish
completely under
Hofthorm
's domination. Some managed to evade their pursuers
and establish new lives elsewhere. One group sought refuge in
Bathurin, where they founded the settlement of
Indraph. Another group escaped to the icy isle of
Isgofnel
and established the settlement of
Otraki Gaum, while others ventured to
Nym-Zoedine
and
Tholamid.
