On 29 Saunas 612 HE, in the name of Thyrm, the kingdom of Glangveif founded the settlement of Fjorstaki. It was named after the first daughter of Glangveif, who was killed in the initial flare-up between the fire kingdom of Hofthorm and its Glangveif counterpart. Both Titan Empires, they served as proxies in the perpetual struggle between the Church of Surtur and that of Thyrm. The devout, crusading, and fanatical people of Fjorstaki played a significant role in Glangveif's diplomacy, vigilance, and warfare when dealing with Surtur's pawns.

Outside of religious matters, Fjorstak functioned as a fortified coastal stronghold. It safeguarded the mithril extracted from Ugradrath and the commerce traversing the Core Sea.

The colossal expanse of Fjorstaki was engineered to accommodate the towering stature of frost giants, with its grand boulevards once bustling with the passage of mammoths marching five abreast. The broad avenues converged towards a grand central spire. The architects had assured their Glangveif overlords, who had balked at the construction costs, that this layout would facilitate the efficient flow of commerce through the city's haphazardly designed location.

Later, it was discovered that the true purpose behind the city's design was more sinister. A sect of Thyrm devotees had been working to transform the city, and hopefully the surrounding lands, into an extension of another world. These followers, known as the Anzar Sect, were led by a frost giant shaman named Anzar, who was driven by his ambition to become as wealthy as the king of Glangveif. Thyrm had entrusted Anzar with a task, one that, if successful, would demonstrate Thyrm's immense power and line Anzar's pockets. Thyrm provided Anzar with the storied blade Webreaver. Using this blade, Anzar opened a rift between Fimbulwinter and the bowels of Fjorstaki, known as the Fjorstaki Rift, with its mouth situated in Fjorstaki's central tower. This rift remains open, continuously feeding an entropic ice flow called the Anzar Glacier.

After completing the task of creating the rift, Thyrm reclaimed Webreaver, proclaiming:

The path to prosperity lies before you; heed its call. Now, convey my message to the denizens of Glangveif.

Thyrm, to the frost giant shaman Anzar

Thyrm's allusion to the path is the Anzar Glacier, where the wealth in the form of Fimbulwinter Gold deposits is carried along with the glacier.

The Fjorstaki region was left a desolate ruin after its subjugation by the Hofthorm forces following the defeat of Glangveif.
