When the once-mighty realm of Yagamph (746 - 956) collapsed, its population fragmented into autonomous city-states, strongholds, and tribal factions, abandoning the notion of a unified national identity. For two full centuries, they engaged in bitter disputes and armed conflicts, each vying to claim the remnants of their vanished empire.
In 1143, numerous Zyrath groups convened at the Broken Teeth Meet. At this gathering, they were urged to return to their former territories and establish a federation. The organizers and lead negotiators for the meeting were gnolls from the long-lost order of shamans - the Kashu'khas. They inspired the tribes, both gnolls and other races, to reinstate the policies set forth by the Drugnod Dynasty (546 - 746) and its successor, the Yagamph Republic, recognizing that only in unity could they confront the growing strength of their neighbors.
On the seventeenth day of Hollow in the year 1143, following a fortnight of negotiations, the Garormuk Federation was officially formed.
