Far're Qainulyth, a skilled politician and adventurer with exceptional mentalist abilities, was born within the confines of the B'lailleth Empire. In 1568 HE, she emerged victorious from a trial of combat, besting three formidable contenders, and was subsequently crowned as the Vla'akith III, the empress of B'lailleth.
As a Vla'akith, by tradition, she relinquished her mortality. Departing from the choices of her lich predecessors, she became a vampire. A short time after this transformation, she turned against her advisors of dubious allegiance, converting each into a vampire spawn, a thrall to her will. In the initial years, they restricted their feeding to the empire's prisoners. Viewing prisoners as beneath their tastes, they shifted their predation to the general populace, with some events devolving into blood orgies where the city's prominent figures and influential personages descended upon the masses. The empress, disguised as a commoner and known as Lady Hunger, often participated in these vampiric feeding frenzies. She soothed her people's anger and fear with apologies, coin, and false staking. Those who harbored serious grievances against the vampires were taken away for indoctrination or worse.
Driven into exile during the First B'lailleth Purge, Lady Hunger retreated into the shadows. Patient and immortal, she adopted a long-term strategy, meticulously planning and gradually amassing a new network of allies and commercial ventures.
