The Avalninâth family is renowned for its affluence and influence within the Khazarkar society. Rônal Avalninâth, born to this esteemed lineage on 1 Temporal 1190, ascended to the position of leader of the Khazarkar Empire seventeen years later.
When the Khazarkar Empire rose to power in Cinazan, they renamed the Avalninâth River in his honor. At the time, he served as the empire's chief inquisitor, overseeing pacification campaigns across the Melvad region. His success in these efforts bolstered his ascent to become the empire's leader.
He led the empire from 1207 to 1287. Avalninâth, like the other Khazarkar rulers of the Second Epoch and after, was a Setarch. This designation made him the supreme religious authority and head of the Khazarkar Empire and the Pharzîmrâth. Avalninâth differed from previous rulers in that he was a druid/ranger. Typically, the Setarch leaders have originated from the ranks of priests, warriors, or conclaves of mages. A druid in this position was highly unusual.
Avalninâth possessed expertise in the arcane arts focused on the decimation of objects and edifices. In his twilight years, he was rumored to command spells capable of felling towers and breaching fortified walls.
On the 21st day of Artifice in the year 1287, Rônal was relieved of his duties by Irân Akhôrrâma. Revered in death as are all Setarchs, Rônal was entombed within one of the Pyramids of the Setarchs.
