Rilthang was an exceptionally cunning naga who gained renown during the Dawn Era. Lukoon claims to have raised her from hatchling to maturity. Rilthang honed her guile and deception in this war, serving as an agent for the primordials and sometimes their enemies. She was so deceptive that neither the primordials nor the angels could ever determine if she was working for them or the enemy, yet her "intel" on the enemy was so valuable that both relied upon her knowledge. Undoubtedly a double-agent, she never truly served any side. Even when suspected of duplicity, she proved to be an enigma, always seeming to have the right answer to cover her tracks. She managed to dupe both sides of the Creation War (1486 DE - 8777 DE) and the Demon Spawn War (89 GE - 269 GE). The Covenant saw her as a significant problem that would need to be addressed once the demons were driven from the Mortal Systems. In the meantime, even with the issues she caused, her intelligence and assistance were too valuable to ignore.

Over the ages, she has shrewdly manipulated friend and foe to serve her malevolent designs, to such an extent that no one has ever been able to ascertain if she was the one pulling the strings. Her art of concealing herself was so masterful that when she assumed the guise of a Makarrûs, she was perceived as one - lawful good, a friend of the angels, and when she was with the primordials, she appeared as a Lorhazi, and to all forms of magic and even torture, as a loyal minion of whomever she was currently serving or feigning to serve. While she was never so powerful as to pose a major threat in any physical or magical combat to the greats, she excelled in manipulating others through her charms and the potency of her words.

On the 17th of Witchrite in 1120, Rilthang was vanquished by the Fists of Atlas. An esteemed bardic account suggests she lingers on, her spirit residing within a phylactery (see also Last Ralban).
