Crafted at the Mind of Mortelas, one of the three forge temples of the vale of Begnhidrir, this magical coronet was designed to influence the will of others. It was utilized during the Demon Spawn War ( 89 GE - 269 GE ) , steering the conflict in another direction whenever it drew too close to the affairs of a captivating seductive cambion named Khaarane. As she could not be present everywhere to enact change or garner influence, Khaarane, now better known as The Concubine, created the Coronets of the Concubine to help sway the Covenant and the Abyssal Hegemony, keeping them from the lands of her growing flock. When Khaarane departed for a higher calling, her three coronets were left in the possession of those still carrying out her assignments.
In 708 LE, a slave joined the circle of lovers to an influential Goliath shaman. Adorned with the Coronet of the Concubine, and wielding the power of passion and seduction through subtle and persuasive words, she convinced him to lead their people far to the south, to an area rich in ancient temples and abundant hunting grounds. Those who opposed this uprooting of several thousand individuals were swiftly persuaded. In 714 LE, amidst the Temples of Begnhidrir, they established the settlement of Hel, with its pleasure houses and shrines dedicated to The Concubine.
In the Horgon Era, a Coronet of the Concubine found its way into the harem of Kelksorli, the sovereign of the Hofthorm Monarchy. Its wearer wielded substantial sway, enabling the enactment of laws, through the conduit of Kelksorli, that relaxed regulations surrounding prostitution and broadened religious options beyond merely Surtur. One of the cults that emerged under this ruling was that of The Concubine.
