The Night Vats are 20-foot-diameter, seemingly bottomless holes scattered throughout the Mulun'nâth ruin. Filled with a turbulent cloud of inky blackness, a Night Vat serves as a conduit to the Death Ball at the heart of the moon Deaths Kindle. The vats of Mulun'nâth have been utilized to summon powerful undead from this lunar realm. Some of the most pernicious entities to emerge from these necrotic devices are nightshades. During the Black Tide War (1465 - 1486), the vats were employed in reviving the dreaded Pitch Bone Legion.
The Night Vats possess several forge areas in their vicinity. These facilities have been utilized to generate formidable undead creatures and imbue magical artifacts with negative energy.
