Balsyn

Balsyn served as a supply depot for a mixed Chaos Archon army under the command of Sarseg. Following the loss of their leader, and anticipating the arrival of the Covenant, they fortified their defenses. As per Sarseg's strategic plans, they concealed Balsyn's entrances behind an extensive network of outposts, traps, and flooded areas. Occupied with other pressing matters, the Covenant never managed to repatriate the Chaos Archons stationed there. Consequently, like many other primordial strongholds from the Creation War ( 1486 DE - 8777 DE ) , Balsyn remained under the vigilance of the local populace.

In the fifteenth year of the Lith Crillion era, a team of Durkoth ventured on a twenty-mile trek into Balsyn, guided by the Codices of Sarseg. Despite suffering severe losses, they discovered the Hydrocur—an aquatic elemental people still waiting for the commands of their long-absent master. By presenting the Codices as the definitive continuation of Sarseg's strategic plan, the Durkoth assumed command of the facility. Bound by the logic of the Codices' directives, the Hydrocur became the minions of these new masters, serving as the tools through which Sarseg's work continues from the ether.
