Pockmarked with both active and abandoned excavations, the Branchard hills lie north of Lake Thurveleg. Firmly within the domain of the Crimson Eye, this region is heavily fortified.
Some of Branchard's more notable installations:
Hammer Head
This towering 60-foot citadel, a fortress of interconnected towers, houses a garrison of Gnoll warriors known as the Hammers of Tamlêrran. The structure itself was named after a renowned giff admiral, Hammer Head. On a perilous quest with Drog'paagol, Hammer Head ventured alongside the formidable Crimson Eye into the distant realms of Igas and Anubeth, where he met his fateful demise.
Junkels Stand
Named after council member Junkel, this domain serves as a fortified mead hall for those stationed in the neighboring hills.
Pillar of Drog
The soaring watchtower of Branchard is the towering Pillar of Drog. Christened after council member Drog Firebeard, it was constructed to accommodate the immense stature and bulk of fire giants. Crafted from lava stone, the structure stands at an imposing height of 120 feet and measures 80 feet in diameter. Crowning the summit of the tower is an aerie for Drog's majestic steed, a roc known as Tornado Wing.
