Crimson Eye is a corporation founded by a group of adventurers called the Crimson Eyes, former members of Penal Battalion 321. Having demonstrated their decisiveness in numerous military engagements, they came under the notice of Monty the Mad. Assigned to special operations tasks more suited to their abilities, they established a protective corporate structure on 11 War March 1788, in accordance with the incorporation laws of the Orchish Empire, which shield board members from liability for the actions of their employees.
In the year 1790, they raided the Mound of Bone Pounder. One of the spoils of this plunder, unbeknownst to the raiders, was the Seed of Tarfilerquar.
In 1799, they ventured into Outpost Prime. Amid the ruins of this former hideaway of the Sanguine Whispers, they uncovered a cache of books, scrolls, and other plunder. One of the most astonishing discoveries was a forgotten Giff Platform named the Juggernaut.
In 1801, after reclaiming Fort Hellstorm, Crimson Eye delved into the bastion's secret labyrinth. The stronghold was then home to a powerful necromancer named Drog'paagol, and Crimson Eye explored a covert research facility called Nir-Madyin. After discovering a mystical fortress named Phaze Keep, they were transported far north in search of buyers with vast resources. Phaze Keep was fixed to specialized teleportation points, appearing where the regions of Igas and Anubeth converge. Surrounded by the ongoing Thrones War, Crimson Eye fought past armies of fire and ice.
After the heroes triumphed over the mythical Tree God of Igas, Junkel, a Councilor of Crimson Eye, penned the following:
Once news spread of our defeating something that surpassed the power of their minor deities, we enjoyed an unchallenged journey northward to our prospective clients.
They arrived at their ultimate destination three months later, guided by a recommendation from Drog'paagol. There, they located eager Zenduram buyers for anything that could provide their soldiers a tactical advantage. Two years later, the Juggernaut was making northbound journeys with its decks brimming with Crimsonware - thousands of vials of Ragnorak, oil, platinum bars from the Branchard hills, and other merchandise.
In the year 1801 of the Witchrite era, while still residing in the city of Collossapolos, the heroes were tasked with finding a powerful weapon. Known as the Tiamat Spur, it had been lost in the battle between Monty the Mad and Defilnus, vanishing for nearly two centuries. The search commenced in The Twelve Tiers of Collossapolos. With the assistance of their arch-mage friend at Fort Hellstorm, they located Monty's weapon within three months. In exchange for not seizing the weapon and fleeing, Monty rewarded them with contested lands in eastern Grashakh. The one-hundred year lease includes the Branchard hills and their rich mines, extending northward into the spires of Inghild. The Branchard portion of this claim had long been a point of contention between the local Toomrur and the Orchish Empire. After securing the area, the company began constructing its headquarters, a nearly impregnable bastion named Ragongrak.
In 1802, near where their headquarters was being constructed, workers discovered a passage leading to a labyrinth known as the Spirit Crypt. This former lair of a powerful lich, they vanquished a blutium golem, eliminated an old paramour of the lich named Vargonivus, and made off with considerable riches.
In 1804, the commencement of the Crimson Offensive (1804 - 1810), the company engaged in hostilities with the Toomrur Hegemony. This proved a triumph for the company, as they attained possession of Norgtrum and a portion of Gudrall.
Crimson Eye serves as a prominent distributor of the drug Ragnorak. While not nearly as extensively consumed as Ragnorak, the company has also developed a potent alcoholic beverage known as Ogre-Skin Anvil.
