In the Year 1800, for services rendered to the Orchish Empire, a company known as Crimson Eye was granted a tract of land encompassing the renowned mines of Branchard, the Diamond Pit, Gold Sprite, Blutium Horn, and various others.

In 1802, the Toomrur unified under the Toomrur Hegemony. As a demonstration of their power, they began raiding the territories of Crimson Eye. Two years later, Crimson Eye launched a counteroffensive, capturing frontier settlements of the Toomrur Hegemony and securing control over the northern hills of Gudrall. In addition to Fograth soldiers acting as mercenaries and several thousand loyalists, Crimson Eye engaged in a protracted war against an empire many times their size. Leveraging their substantial wealth from their adventuring exploits, they deployed hundreds of cannons and mortars, several skyships, and soldiers enhanced with their proprietary drug Ragnorak.

The war concluded in 1810 with advantageous terms for Crimson Eye, with the organization assuming command of the citadel of Norgtrum and the hills of Gudrall.
