Location Maegorion Forest

The Seed of Tarfilerquar, rumored to be the heart of a malevolent deity, is a pernicious and corrupting entity that masquerades as a gnarled and desiccated seed. During the Lith-Crillion Era, the Kriavfahliil of Herfarel ventured into the deep canyon east of this city. In the depths of Tân'ndith, they discovered a solitary seed within an ancient sarcophagus of petrified wood.

Assailed by a raiding party of Jara, the Seed of Tarfilerquar was transported far to the west. In 994, a Jara named Ushnagdú was born. An imp subservient to a nefarious force was charged with surreptitiously providing the Seed of Tarfilerquar to this young foal. Ushnagdú, subsequently renowned as Bone Pounder, was rendered exceptionally hardy from the indigestible seed within his stomach.

In 1790, the Mound of Bone Pounder was plundered by Crimson Eye. Among the treasures they discovered was a gnarled and dried seed that radiated only faint traces of magic. Traded to an outlaw druid named Black Wood, the seed was planted a year later, on 4 Bloom 1791, in the Maegorion Forest. Over the course of a decade, the seed's corruption spread, darkening the forest and all within it. Animals and beasts became dire creatures, treants transformed into their sinister counterparts, and many fey turned wicked, with sprites and quicklings becoming cannibalistic.

To eradicate Tarfilerquar, you must annihilate Maegorion, an insurmountable undertaking, as even a single spore from the woodland, be it deer, sapling, or honeybee, could propagate its blight to another locale.

Oakenbeard, a member of the Nature Protectorates, delivered a regional report at a Glade Summit titled "Nature's Quandary"
