During the God Era, the Covenant utilized this valley for covert experiments. The Civilization Planning Division, or the CPD, conducted studies on nature energy and Dark Nature Energy in close proximity. As the Demon Spawn War (89 GE - 269 GE) neared its conclusion, Dark Nature pockets had proliferated across lands devastated by demonic invasions. With too many to cleanse or monitor, the study aimed to examine the potential impacts on the lands and peoples. The venerable elder treants of Feyrise recount a conversation between two of the study's leaders, who would later ascend to become Nature Gods.
Silvanus asserted, "It is evident that these two forces will engender conflicts."
Melrith, his emerging competitor, rejoined, "This will restore the land's equilibrium, precisely what you desire."
Silvanus could not refute this reasoning, and he was quite fond of the swift transformation that often transpires when Nature confronts challenges
The Angelic Departure witnessed the mortal fey, once followers of Silvanus, Melrith, and others, embark on a study with two divergent paths - one of decay, the other of rejuvenation. Scattered throughout the forests and rugged terrain of this valley are tangible remnants of this duality; verdant oases, their lush vitality accelerated by druidic incantations, juxtaposed against the blight and deterioration that encroaches upon them.
