Garâtha is a dormant volcano situated in the southeastern peaks of Trudnar. During the Horgon Era, hobgoblin demon worshippers established a fortress within Garâtha's caldera. Known as Valefor, it once served as the seat of power for a formidable demonologist named Thararthel. The conjurers of Valefor are often credited with preventing Zeymah'kein's expansion (600 HE - 1600 HE) from breaching the Trudnar Peaks.
From the multitude of bones within the keep and scattered across the crater of Garâtha, it appears the same demons who aided them would ultimately destroy them. Unaffected by time and the elements, exceptionally hard and damaging to mortal flesh, they are composed of a material called bonebrack. Subsequent expeditions to the region have revealed that most of the bones in the Valefor ruins and across Garâtha belong to mivilorn. These colossal magical beasts are most commonly found on Acheron. The sheer number of bones suggests that only a blocked gate and herding from the other side could have led to so many of these creatures entering this area.
