Gothmak was constructed by the ogres of Khatúlg. The purpose of this fortress was to control and facilitate commerce along the Viiz Bo river. This waterway flows through the keep and then cascades over Diiv Prok. To assist with the movement of goods up and down these cliffs, elevators were built within the keep. These elevators are sizeable and can accommodate twenty ogres comfortably. Traffic traveling down the Viiz Bo halts a mile north of the keep at the small town of Irorn. The goods are then transported overland to Gothmak. Once at the base of Diiv Prok, the goods or travelers are loaded onto boats and sent down the Viiz Bo. Many of these vessels are owned by merchants based in Suf Sungaar.
