The Kudnetho Hills stretch along the southern shoreline of Lake Nadrunal. They were named after the first usurper who sought to overthrow the Council of Bile. Princess Kudnetho, the oldest daughter of the reigning King Sôvap Bile, was a battle priest of Krak-Oth. She unsuccessfully challenged her father to honorable combat and perished. As a follower of Krak-Oth, a deity viewed unfavorably by the Council of Bile, she was interred in a crypt far from Drakhôr. Since then, the site has become the final resting place for dishonored knights, usurpers, and those of treasonous nature.
The hills of Kudnetho have gradually become a cursed domain, permanently desecrated and serving as grounds for necromantic rituals and wandering undead. The numerous crypts scattered throughout the area, numbering in the hundreds, have become alluring prospects for treasure seekers and aspiring necromancers. Regrettably, the majority of those who venture there are never heard from again. Burial parties that travel to this location must don specially blessed amulets provided by high priests of Krak-Oth. Without these protective talismans, they leave themselves vulnerable to attacks by the undead and other horrors plaguing the hills. The most formidable undead entities encountered in this domain are the Daughters of Krak-Oth. All the crypts in the area are meticulously constructed, magically fortified, and often serve as lairs for undead and magical beasts. They are maintained by undead wardens, who are safeguarded by grave dirt golems and necromentals.
