Mattârâk is a coastal desert situated on the eastern coasts of the Arcana Isle. The region's most dreaded inhabitants are heavily armored crabs called Nithôn. Highly resistant to psychic attacks, they are the work of Lith-Crillion military engineers. According to an ancient tome discovered at Aggda, they were fashioned to serve as coastal troops, tasked with combating Thraedli raiders.
A Nithôn shield that has been properly treated is remarkably lightweight, and as durable as any mithril shield.
