Mindwrack

Seven months after the 14 ^th Battle of Regadnîn ( 5001 DE - 5003 DE ) , a Covenant team tracked a wanted primordial leader named Nakh-Zennîm to the towering grasses of a then unnamed area. Aware of the danger posed by their quarry, the Phalgas Chosen, crusaders of a revered figure named Phalgas, arrived equipped and prepared to combat a being highly proficient in the ways of psychic energy. Proving no match for his assailants, the fight concluded within minutes. Nakh-Zennîm's demise resulted in the release of all his accumulated psychic energy. This onslaught drove all the attackers into a state of madness. Out of fifteen seasoned soldiers, only Phalgas and four others were spared from the ensuing mayhem. The lingering effects of this battle continue to permeate an area now known as Mindwrack.

A highly perilous region to traverse, any creature possessing intelligence beyond that of a beast who ventures into the elephant grass of Mindwrack faces the grave threat of mental anguish, disorientation, insanity, or psychic depletion.
