Nakh-Zennîm was a colossal, spider-like abomination. Upon its back, this primordial entity bore an immense, unfathomable orb. Within this orb swirled an ichor composed of psychic energy harvested from all those who perished in its presence. This potent ichor empowered its devastating psionic assaults. Its other deadly mode of attack was an acidic spittle imbued with psionic energy.

When Orb 399 was being constructed, Nakh-Zennîm employed psionic abilities to assail its creator, Bingatho. This led to Bingatho's descent into madness and the manifestation of increasingly erratic behavioral patterns.

In the 14 th Battle of Regadnîn, Nakh-Zennîm and his army of spider-like aberrations besieged Irrai. After discharging corrosive spittle that swiftly destroyed the fortress's eastern entrances, Nakh-Zennîm was confronted by the Covenant leader Bal-Kriav. In the ensuing clash, Bal-Kriav proved no match for the formidable Nakh-Zennîm. The death of the Covenant's supreme general rallied his comrades, who concentrated all their firepower in a desperate attempt to vanquish the enemy leader. Driven from the battle, Nakh-Zennîm retreated eastward across the Salzârrâk Sea.

Months later, concealed beneath the dunes of Rônnahar, he was discovered by Covenant trackers. Anticipating a confrontation with a formidable psionic entity, Nakh-Zennîm met its demise. Upon the death of Nakh-Zennîm, the surrounding area became a locus for psychic disturbance, the Mindwrack plain.

Nakh-Zennîm is one of the rare primordials capable of surviving the frigid, airless reaches of the Void ; the sole domain in which it could spawn its progeny. Thousands of Nakh-Zennîm's eggs, housed within an expanding Brainus, were dispersed across worlds and moons, their orbits eventually guiding them to the surface.
