The ironhue bastion of Orchirion, constructed during the Dawn Era, served as a Covenant base and the headquarters of the Hedge Legion and their leader, Silvanus. A living fortress crafted from the exceptionally durable wood known as Ironhue, Orchirion withstood the onslaught of primordials during the Creation War, which spanned from 1486 DE to 8777 DE, as well as the subsequent demonic incursions.

After the Demon Spawn War (89 GE - 269 GE), Orchirion, like many other places, fell into abandonment and neglect. Constructed of exceptionally durable timber, the settlement became overgrown with dense thickets over the course of millennia, rendering it difficult to traverse. Moreover, Orchirion harbors additional deterrents for would-be treasure seekers, including living vines, treants, fey, and those who seek to preserve the sanctity of this hallowed ground, a sacred site to Silvanus and a shrine to the heroes of the Hedge Legion.
