The Hedge Legion was a military unit that engaged the primordials in the Creation War (1486 DE - 8777 DE) and subsequently battled the demons in the Demon Spawn War (89 GE - 269 GE).
The duo achieved significant acclaim for their successful interment of the Radullu Rift.
When Silvanus ascended to a position of prominence within the Covenant hierarchy, he assumed command of this elite unit.
He demonstrated exceptional tactical acumen, employing guerrilla maneuvers against our adversaries. When selecting battlegrounds, he invariably favored forested or uneven terrain, and would swiftly withdraw if confronted with unfavorable conditions unsuited to his methods of warfare.

The fallen members of this unit were laid to rest atop the Aryon plateau. Some individuals theorize that the Ironhue timber has proliferated over the burial site of a Hedge Legion soldier.
The Hedge Legion no longer functions as a military force, but some of its former members continue to live. The majority of these individuals are members of the Einglach organization. Several of the legion's treants were part of the Roots of Núlananya, yet only Silvanus and potentially a handful of others are aware of their current status.
