The Pass of Rungalur is flanked on the northern side by the southeastern edge of Fros Idar, and on the southern side by the sacred walls of Achamâz. During the late Horgon Era, this rugged valley was the domain of a hill giant chieftain named Rungalur. His heir continued his legacy, raiding the surrounding lands and, in times of peace, imposing tolls on any travelers seeking to pass eastward or westward. Under the reign of the Yagamph Republic (746 - 956), this valley was pacified, and its hill giants were driven beyond the steaming pools of Cibothrâr. In the Year 789, Yagamph established the settlement of Ugenarg at the center of this valley.
