Ugenarg was the westernmost city of the Yagamph Republic (746 - 956). Situated within the Pass of Rungalur, it controlled the flow of traffic moving eastward and westward. As a hub for the slave trade, with Theegans being the most commonly sold, Ugenarg was the frequent target of attacks by aspiring warlords and the growing might of the Witch Horde.
In 948, the city of Ugenarg succumbed to the Witch Horde. With the populace subjected to enslavement, Ugenarg became more widely recognized as the Dogface Ruins, characterized by its crumbled walls and towers sculpted in the leering visages of gnolls and demon hounds. Prior to its downfall, Ugenarg had boasted hundreds of bronze and stone statues depicting legendary war hounds. Presently, the majority of these relics reside in the collections of distant empires or within the halls of prestigious museums.
