The River of Summoning, also known as Ragil after a demon assassin from the Demon Spawn War (89 GE - 269 GE), originates from the unnatural ice of Nym-Zoedine. Flowing southward, the streams converge into a river carving through the mires of Roralarg and a rugged evergreen valley, home to hill giants to the west and warlike Hobgoblin bands to the east. Near the end of the valley, the river slows and diverts at the Bloodbath Dam, transforming into cascading waterfalls and numerous channels. After passing through the city of Naram-Gunal, the river flows by the northern oaks of Nárfaltuin and the southern steely pines, ultimately joining the Foronir River.

In the upper reaches of the Ragil, prior to the swamp, the water glistens with the radiance of ancient sorcery. During the Titan Era, hobgoblin shamans recognized that the practice of conjuration magic was more effortless in proximity to the river. Since that seminal finding, numerous ruins, constructed as summoning circles, span the riverbanks.
