Naram-Gunal was established on 25 Lunar 905 by Turkûn exiles, experienced offenders of the Phlehorn Monarchy. The following year, Naram-Gunal became the seat of government for the Umahanbad Oligarchy.

Enduring numerous conflicts with the Orchish Empire, Naram-Gunal evolved into a formidable citadel boasting ten inner keeps and over a hundred towers.

A city teeming with slaves, Naram-Gunal has endured six devastating slave uprisings. Known as one of the most prominent slave trading centers on the continent, Naram-Gunal also boasts renowned forges and war merchants.
