Rudkreg was a legendary hydra that emerged during the Creation War (1486 DE - 8777 DE). Slain by pegasai-riding rangers, Rudkreg's massive, Chaotic body decomposed at an exceedingly slow pace. Feared for its entropic spittle, which reduced complex structures to their base elements, the decaying remains proceeded to transform the surrounding landscape. As Rudkreg's body rotted, the land sank, creating a four-mile-deep chasm known as Rudkreg's Cleave. At its deepest point, where none are said to have returned, the legendary hydra's still-beating heart is rumored to persist.

On the northern precipice of Rudkregs Cleave lies the ancient city of Suf Sungaar. As the trade between Suf Sungaar and the fiery domains of Yol Skerah flourished, so too did the intricate network of stairs, pulleys, cranes, elevators, and pathways that dot the descent into Rudkregs Cleave. Along this winding route, passages branch off towards the subterranean roads leading to Jothvauk, as well as the smaller settlements surrounding Agiid Hil and Sken Drog.
