In the Horgon Era, this region was claimed by the Hofthorm Monarchy. Designated as Throa Sveid, it was then a vast bay encircled by majestic cliffs. The nooks, caverns, and protrusions provided a breeding ground for an array of avian species.
In the First Epoch, the receding waters of the Nermanis Sea left the bay high and dry. The marshy shores, long inhabited by aquatic peoples, transformed into a windswept desert. Over the past millennium, the Winds of Talos have blown southward, turning the dry seabed into a desert of fine sand. The Bullywug, once at home in this region, responded to the draining of the Nermanis by instinctively digging deep holes and entering a state of profound hibernation. According to Nermanean records, nearly twenty thousand Bullywug still slumber in what was once the seabed of a great bay.
The Throa Sveid region boasts the tallest cliffs in the surrounding area. Situated north of Arnogrygg, the peaks reach an impressive height of 7,000 feet. Similarly, near the city of Aphalê, the cliffs tower over 4,000 feet above the desert landscape below.
From Aphalê's renowned terraces, when the winds are serene, one can behold the drik farms, and the steadfast Sadar-Nizar on their relentless hunts Formerly a bay of the Nermanis Sea, Arnogrygg's grand port now lies in ruins, the cliff's celebrated bounty long since vanished, a desolate desert for training the empire's specialized units
The Sadar-Nizar are among Throa Sveid's more perilous denizens. Descended from those transported from Athurrâm, they wander unrestrained when not conscripted into Khazarkar armed forces.
