Map Marninnoth

In the First Epoch, the Woad wilderness encompassed an expansive domain. It served as a natural boundary between the territories of the Khazarkar and that of the Tragaran peoples.

In 822, the town of Woad was set ablaze by a fabled dragon known as Sebgult.

The vast forests of Woad provided an abundance of timber that fueled the growth and expansion of the First Khazarkar Empire and the Burterinii. However, these two nations were constantly embroiled in territorial disputes over the rights to logging operations and mineral extraction within the region.

The forest was severely devastated by wildfires and arcane forces during the Gulimbor Cataclysm (996 - 1203). The exodus of the khazarkars from Gulimbor enabled the natural world, over an extensive period, to restore the forest to its former grandeur.

Today, Woad now encompasses an area twice as expansive as during the First Epoch. At the southeastern edge of the jungle lie the ancient ruins of Chal-Kazod. Conversely, the ruins of Ing-Serold are situated at the opposite corner of Woad.
