On 29 Lunar 1501 DE, the Covenant general Ptah annihilated Tiwa'erra. This destruction of the floating Covenant stronghold was accompanied by a primordial army then pillaging the location. General Eysveig, a disembodied thinker and primordial monstrosity with numerous brains, did not perish entirely in Tiwa'erra's implosion. Collected by his minions, Eysveig's remnants were transported to Eysveig's Infirmary for experimentation. On 1 Temporal 1503 DE, fragments of Eysveig's brain spawned the inaugural members of the Grell race.
