Castamion

Castamion is a region of Eldendil's first subterranean tier. Situated above this realm of tunnels, caverns, and expansive fungal forests lies the domain of Draugluin. The following is a well-known proverb said to originate from the depths of Castamion:

When the surface dies, beneath it blooms.

The Draugluin Decay refers to the period when Castamion's plant-life experiences a vibrant bloom and expansion, while the land above succumbs to decay. Over thousands of years, the verdant expanse has grown by feeding on the nature energy from above, clogging tunnels and filling caverns with abundance. At the heart of this lush growth lies a dark jungle strewn with the ruins of former strongholds. Many of these were constructed during the Demon Spawn War (89 GE - 269 GE), a time when this region was fiercely contested by the night legions of Lolth and the demon generals of Goul'lumin.
