The Dwarven term "Dhark Bolg" denotes the "Dark Belly" - the name given to the Underdark region situated beneath Ma'Ohari. One of the most remarkable aspects of this subterranean expanse is the Earth Seam - a river of elemental rock that traverses the length of the region before curving southward into the peculiar, magic-infused underbelly of Gulimbor.
The eastern regions of Dhark Bolg are sweltering and oppressive. This locale harbors an abundance of lava tubes and volcanic lakes. Numerous such formations are interconnected, collectively comprising what is referred to as Sephu'phis.
The settlements of this Underdark region are sometimes referred to as the Cities of the Elements. This designation stems from the fact that the majority of these settlements are situated along either the Earth Seam or a lava tributary of Surtur's Artery.
