Faryon is an evergreen wood found exclusively within the boreal forests of Eylami. This hardy timber possesses the rigidity of reinforced masonry and exhibits remarkable fire resistance. However, its stiff quality renders it an unsuitable choice for bowyers.
The towering faryon trees, with their impressive bases spanning twenty to thirty feet and sturdy branches capable of supporting the weight of a formidable earth giant, stand as a majestic and awe-inspiring gift bestowed upon us by Silvanus. The giants of Eylami utilize these mature faryon trees to construct their fortified stockades, with the most ancient specimens deemed too difficult to cut with local tools or reserved for the exclusive use in a chieftain's hall. The robust timber of these trees renders their bastions as formidable as the most resilient stone fortresses. Remarkably, these structures prove remarkably resistant to fire, as it takes decades for the faryon wood to dry out, rendering it unsuitable for burning, yet highly resistant to flaming oil or raging walls of fire.

The earth giants of Eylami regulate the distribution of Faryon to nearby marketplaces and distant harbors along the Dargirth. The timber has been employed to construct the internal scaffolding in towers and military edifices as far as DrakhĂ´r.
