Positive energy is a synergistic blend of Negative Entropy and Life energy. It is the fundamental force that powers divine transmutations and the destructive energy that annihilates the Undead. It is the energy that fuels healing spells for the living, serving as the antithesis of negative energy, which sustains the undead. Positive energy outside of spellcasting proves deleterious to the living, and even more so to the undead.
