In 911, after penetrating numerous fortifications, the Har'kish discovered a weapon of immense power. Hidden deep within the inner sanctum of the Eye of Gith, this divinely-forged artillery piece was constructed to eliminate the unimaginably colossal primordials of the Creation War (1486 DE - 8777 DE). The weapon's new proprietors once more venerated the githyanki's esteemed heroine, christening it the Hand of Gith.
The Hand of Gith discharges a crystal projectile encapsulating positive energy. This round, a 25-foot-long crystal weave with iron framing, is fired from a 110-foot-long tube. The weapon's ammunition is a Voice of Gith. It can be employed as a gravity bomb, positioning the Eye of Gith over the intended target, the barrel of the Hand of Gith pointing straight down at a castle or city, or it can be launched like an artillery piece; the latter is a more precise, yet far more costly undertaking.
The weapon is known as the Hand of Gith, named in tribute to the legendary githyanki hero Gith. Upon the weapon's discovery, the githyanki transported it to the surface of the Eye, constructing a protective enclosure and transforming it into a formidable instrument of terror and devastation. The Hand of Gith resides within the Ithar Plateau, a rocky elevation that has been fortified into an impregnable stronghold.
During the Black Tide War (1465 - 1486), the formidable Hand of Gith was employed by the Black Tide of Thasmudyan. In 1476, the Hand of Gith launched devastating attacks on the cities of Voruner and Vraga Moltus. Later that same year, the Sanguine Whispers were contracted by the Farinteen Alliance to eliminate the Hand of Gith. An elite team of commandos, Squad X7E, executed Operation Precision Strike, achieving partial success. The saboteurs, determined to destroy the weapon, managed to crack the barrel, rendering it inoperable for six months.
Near the close of 1476, the weapon had become operational. It was swiftly employed against the Sanguine Whispers's headquarters, Outpost Prime.

Gravimetric Weaponry: The Hand's Dual-Mode Logic
The Hand of Gith utilizes the Icarus Core's localized gravity field to deliver destruction in two distinct ways:
- Mode 1: The Gravity Bomb (Kinetic Orbital Strike): By positioning the Eye of Gith directly above a target, the weapon utilizes a "free" firing cost. This isn't just dropping a rock; the weapon likely inverts the gravity well of the Eye, accelerating the Voice of Gith projectile to terminal velocity within seconds. It turns a crystal weave into a relativistic rod of divine energy.
- Mode 2: The Launched Artillery (Spatial Ejection): This mode requires 1,000 Obelisk Charges, representing a massive power draw from the Icarus Core. The 110-foot blutium barrel—a Lost Age alloy designed for extreme heat—functions as a linear accelerator. It uses gravimetric pulses to "fire" the projectile across a mile with pinpoint accuracy.
The "Blutium" Paradox and Overheating
- Coolant System Failure: In the Lost Ages, this weapon had an active liquid-nitrogen and a spatial-bleed cooling system. Without something like the Third Instructor or Asoun, the Har'kish must wait for the blutium to naturally radiate the thermal energy generated by the gravimetric friction.
- The Voice of Gith: The ammunition—a 25-foot crystal weave—is more than just a positive energy capacitor. When it strikes, it doesn't just explode; it releases a controlled burst of the same energy that sustains Nawirrûs's systems, essentially "deleting" the chaotic biological matter of primordials.
