Gith was a prominent insurgent who liberated his people from Suellk subjugation. Following the Incarsabec Rebellion ( 1531 HE - 1544 HE ) , he became the leader of the Githyanki race. An accomplished military commander, he struggled to navigate the political intrigues that ensued after his people's emancipation. Ten years into his reign as the inaugural emperor of B'lailleth, Vla'akith I, he was assassinated by a githyanki usurper named Zylashe Vla'akith.
Gith remains venerated in certain githyanki communities, who name remarkable military achievements after him, such as the Eye of Gith, Hand of Gith, and Drones of Gith, among others.
