Belligerents civil war - Suellk

Early in the Horgon Era, weary from a succession of wars, the Githyanki, Githzerai, and other peoples of the world Ghífthauk found themselves under invasion. The invaders were mind flayers from the nearby moon Ráglauth. This First Suellk Invasion, spanning from 135 HE to 150 HE, concluded with the githyanki and githzerai peoples in shackles, serving as a labor force and satiating their masters' craving for consuming brains.

The Psyche Intake, a government department of the Suellk Empire, adopted a divergent approach with their new subjects on Ghífthauk. They aspired for their slaves to maintain a veneer of normalcy, with amplifying their headcount as the paramount objective. This novel method of managing the subjugated populace contrasted sharply with the happenings on Ráglauth, the Suellk home world, where they annihilated the indigenous humanoid inhabitants at a pace exceeding their capacity for replenishment.

After over a millennium of bondage, a unified slave revolt shook the Suellk Empire. Originating in the capital city of Incarsabec, the flame of rebellion then spread across Ghífthauk and its twin moons. The leader of this uprising was a githyanki named Gith.

Under the leadership of Gith, the githyanki and githzerai cast aside their discord, unifying in the face of a shared adversary. Gith's insurgents unleashed devastating psychic assaults on the illithids, releasing virulent mental contagions and conjuring psychic storms.

The war is believed to have claimed a million lives. In the aftermath, the planet and its moons were nightmarish realms, beset by storms of psychic energy that preyed upon any creatures possessing intelligence beyond that of animals. The illithid population on Ghífthauk and Ráglauth suffered tremendously from these cataclysmic events, to the extent that the world Osâchar was rapidly becoming Suellk's new seat of power.

The sheer number of individuals made it impossible to save them all, and the paramount concern of contracting the virus and transmitting it to unaffected colonies rendered the task too perilous. As a result, they all perished. However, this will prove fortuitous, as it ushers in a new era brimming with innovative concepts, visionary leadership, and expanded intellectual resources to guide the path forward.
