Vraga Moltus, an ancient metropolis situated on the Pearl Sea, boasts a remarkable architectural feature - its curved, tiered wall facing northward into the Lands of Purity. The initial tier of this imposing structure stands at a height of 75 feet, with the subsequent three tiers measuring 50 feet each. Adorning the various levels are statues honoring the esteemed heroes of the city.
The coastal settlement of Vraga Moltus was established by refugees fleeing the Niratar Theocracy. In the year 1017, this prosperous seaside town became the capital of the ill-fated Farinteen Dynasty, showcasing the opulence characteristic of that era.
The city was bombarded from the skies in 1476 by Har'kish's formidable flying battle orb - the ominous Eye of Gith. This horrific attack, commissioned by the Black Tide, claimed the lives of nearly a thousand innocent civilians and laid waste to numerous structures.
In the final year of the Black Tide War (1465 - 1486), Vraga Moltus was assailed from the surface by an undead force approaching ten legions. From below, along tunnels and lifts leading to the Great Tradeway, the city was attacked by a drow army from Uzurundabud. The ensuing downfall of Vraga Moltus marked the conclusion of the Farinteen Dynasty.
In the Severed Neck Battle, the Black Tide suffered significant losses, including the renowned commander Vraga Moltus. Following the Athenian Crusade (1539 - 1551), the government concluded that aligning with Malacost was not in their best interests. Instead, they permitted a foreign nation, Ivory Asylum, to establish a colonial administration over the city and its surrounding territory. Ivory Asylum asserts that this administrative control is a modest compensation for their pivotal role in the Black Tide War.
Deep beneath the city, accessible via elevators and winding, treacherous tunnels, lies the heavily fortified stronghold of Amurlax. This bastion was constructed atop the ruins of the former town that once occupied this site, built to prevent a recurrence of the events that transpired during the Black Tide War, when the drow sacked the town before proceeding to assault Vraga Moltus from below. Beyond Amurlax's imposing walls and intricate defensive systems lies the southwestern entrance to the Great Tradeway. Trade between Vraga Moltus and the Underdark civilizations of Igreshand frequently passes through Amurlax, subject to the appropriate tariffs.
