Asoun is a brilliant Primordial whose intellect is surpassed by few. Asoun's greatest weakness lay in an inability to wield or benefit from magic. However, they overcame this limitation by inventing mechanical attachments capable of such feats. Asoun possesses an array of sentient attachments - symbionts that fuse with the host, amplifying the mind and granting access to the symbiont's innate abilities. In the early centuries of the Dawn Era, these mechanical attachments and unprecedented symbionts were remarkably advanced, suggesting Asoun may be a remnant of the Lost Ages.

Luckily for the Nawirrûs Covenant, Asoun's remarkable intellect never contributed to crafting tactics for the forces of pandemonium. He was too autonomous, too much self-importance to collaborate with those who deemed themselves his mental peer.

Immune to magic, Asoun is a formidable adversary. The initial Covenant troops who encountered him, depending on magical abilities, were nearly eradicated. Among those who perished was the archangel Anubis.

In the Lith-Crillion Era, Asoun discovered a rift-making bastion known as the Womb of Entropy. He used this place to re-open several Rifts between the Chaos and the world of Bal-Kriav. When the Lith-Crillion learned of these gateways, they launched an attack on the Womb of Entropy. In 1271 LE, Lith-Crillion commandos and a pack of weave spiders completely destroyed the place. Most believed that Asoun perished in the blast, never to be heard from again. This assumption was dispelled during the War of the Fragments, which took place between 1500 and 1512, as Asoun's agents were found to be instigating a conflict between four empires.
