One of many battles of the Demon Spawn War (89 GE - 269 GE), this ten-day engagement was waged between the Covenant general Lolth and three demon generals answering to the demon lord Goul'lumin. The demon generals, having strategically positioned themselves, launched an attack from three directions. Two advanced from the subterranean forests of Castamion, while the other marched across Draugluin's scarred lands. Lolth sensed something amiss, but with her intelligence network compromised, they lacked crucial information on the enemy's movements. This led to Lolth being surrounded, engaging in a series of running battles where many succumbed to exhaustion. They extracted what they could through magic and griffons, leaving the bulk of the army at the demons' mercy. Lolth met with the emissaries of the three demon armies, achieving an effectiveness of 50% in the negotiations. This was still far more than what she could have mustered with magic and witch brews. The terms were straightforward: in exchange for the safe passage of her army out of Draugluin, Lolth was to become Goul'lumin's prisoner for the remainder of the war. Surprisingly, the demons upheld their end of the bargain. Lolth's army retired to rebuild and continue the fight against the demons in the Castamion Region. Twelve years later, Lolth escaped Goul'lumin's grasp and returned to the Covenant's forces, though under close scrutiny.
